Thrift Shop Matchups - Valentine's Day Stitching

I like finding old things & making new things to "match". Well to be honest, they don't even have to be old ... just discarded ... or deemed unusable by someone else. And, they don't have to match, exactly, just look ... better together.  I think you know what I mean!  Here are some love-themed Matchups:

How about a romantic look for Valentine's Day?  This pattern just happens to be called Love Notes - Heart Mug Rug & there are 58 ways to tell someone you're thinking of them. Doesn't this just inspire you to write a Love Note?! 💗
How about a bolder look for Valentine's Day. With a sweet little Angel to deliver the message. This pattern is called Last Minute Mug Mat - Extravaganza!!!  There are a total of 24 different designs to make - all the holidays & special moments covered!
Wondering what to put your flower vase on?  This table topper is perfect for larger decor items - like this cute Heart within a Heart collectible. And, the pattern is appropriately named Last Minute Centerpiece. There are two different heart options in this design & it's a lot faster than you think with NO binding!
I get a real kick out of finding fabrics in my stash (new or vintage - it doesn't matter!) & creating a perfect (if only in my eyes!) Matchup with items no longer bright & shiny. It's so much fun to put these collectibles on display again - right where they belong! Here's the Last Minute Mug Rug & Centerpiece together so you get an idea of scale. Happy Valentine's day .... with love, faith.

Happy New Year 2020!

Well, time to finish binding a crazy little wall hanging & watch a really good movie while drinking a tasty cup of something.  I take my inspiration where I find it & this little coffee cup hit the spot. (it has dots - get it?!). Just in case you can't read it below, the Hallmark folks wrote a little message on the inside rim:  "laughter, caring, kindness - a million little moments". Good words to live by - make it so!  love, faith. 💞

Autumn is here!

Autumn starts today & ends Saturday (yes, THIS Saturday!) when the following weather is predicted for Boulder, Montana:  a high of 38 degrees, a low of 26 degrees with a good chance of SNOW!  I tend to be a "glass half-full" kind of person, so I'll just say that it's mighty-fine quilting weather - lol!  How are things in your "neck of the woods" ?!  love, faith.

P.S. In case you do want to get some Fall projects stitched up, here's a good one - Cottonwood Leaves Quilt Pattern

Fine Summer's Day in Montana, 07/27/2019

Last Saturday was Frontier Days in Whitehall, Montana. We usually go for the car show, but this year the local quilt shop, Dysfunctional Quilters also had an outdoor quilt show.  What a wonderful combination!  Unfortunately, we had just arrived at the quilt show - did I mention it was outdoors?! - and the sky opened up. It rained buckets, BIG buckets. I didn't take photos of the ladies rescuing quilts, but here's my favorite car in the car show (can you guess why?!):
After the rain stopped & I bought loads of old quilt magazines (saved by a tarp), we headed south. You see a lot of interesting things along the backroads of Montana:
One of the Fishing Access Sites along the Jefferson River:
We headed for home & had to stop to let a wild turkey saunter across the road. I just had to ask:  Why did the turkey cross the road?  To get to the Jefferson River, of course!!  hehe  love, faith.
