Aqua & Red - does it get any better than that?
Well, maybe if you throw in a little Navy & Green! Main fabrics are from "The Good Life" by Bonnie & Camille (Moda) with some Grunge (BasicGrey, also Moda) thrown in for fun. The Navy Border is Scattered Petals, Wilmington Prints. And, of course, it's my 5-Yard Everyday Quilt design. This quilt top went together so smoothly - have you had that happen when you're sewing with just the right fabrics on just the right day with just the right design? I think this quilt's message is: "Live the Good Life - Everyday!" love, faith.

Memorable Memorial Day - 2018
I intended to post yesterday on Memorial Day but Mother Nature had other plans! Big rains, lots of lightening & then, we lost our internet connection. But, oh what a glorious reminder of all we have to be grateful for. Hope your Memorial Day was memorable, as well. With gratitude to those who gave their all .... love, faith.

Happy Mother's Day!!
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! Hope you are having a wonderful day!
I remember the sparkle in my mom's eyes every time I made her something - whether it was little or big didn't matter - she loved it all. She cheered me on through my embroidery & crewel work days, as well as my ceramic phase. And, when it didn't work out so great (macaroni art comes to mind), she would rescue the moment with: "It's the thought that counts & I LOVE it!" And, so she did.
She especially cherished this Tree of Life Wall Hanging which she looked at every day. It's from "Big-Block Quilts by Magic" by Nancy Johnson-Srebro. I traced the outline of mom & dad's hands, as well as all of us "kids" on a rare get-together when we were all in the same place at the same time. And, I quilted those hand outlines around the outside border with mom's & dad's hands, thumbs crossed over each other at the top. As I cherish it every day, I remember the sparkle in my mom's loving eyes & life is good. 💕 love, faith.

Happy Easter - soon!
The checkout guy said: "You know it's still winter - right?!!" Oh yes, but Easter is coming! I will have Violas - or Johnny Jump Up's - or whatever you call them :) And, they will be on the table instead of planted outside.
